ALUMNI AND EMPLOYMENT
The Alumni & Employment Committee regularly seeks to provide opportunities for students to experience the world of work through our New York and Philadelphia Career Trips, to find internships through partnerships with Penn’s Career Services, to gain support and advice through our Grad-Undergrad Mentorship Series, and to speak with alums through our Coffee Chat Series. The Committee also helps keep Alumni involved and informed through our recently-launched Alumni Newsletter.
Recently, the A&E Committee hosted Internship 102, a follow-up to the Fall event Internship 101, where OPT/CPT and the logistics of interning in the US were discussed. Internship 102 thus focussed on the finer details required for securing a job: resume and cover-letter writing, building your LinkedIn profile, how to dress, etc. Additionally persons with internship experience were present to talk about their experiences.
